2.1 The Rooms of the Château

 

Suite "Vénitienne"

Finely decorated in the style of Louis XV, the first romantic room with Venetian inspired furniture will seduce you with its black, white and pastel colours.

It has a double bed, eighteenth century grey marble fireplace, and an old fashioned waxed parquet floor.

The second room, its annexe, is in the style of Louis Philippe and also has a double bed and waxed parquet floor.

This is on the first floor in the east tower of the chateau and looks out over the park and the river.

It has three rooms each of which is separated by a door.

The bathroom boasts a grey and black marble fireplace as well, and there is a cast iron bath on four feet which sits on a wide boarded larch wood floor.

There is a separate toilet.

The chateau has its own source of water promoting wellbeing for body and spirit in this peaceful haven.

Mirabeau

This room in the style of Louis XV, is on the first floor of the west tower.

There is much fine marquetry in the furniture here, which, together with the overall floral theme of the room and its retro style bathtub on animal shaped feet, confers a charm of yesteryear.

There is a double bed, eighteenth century grey and white marble fireplace and an old fashioned waxed parquet floor.

There is also a toilet and a hydromassage shower.

A magical, serendipitous moment awaits you.

Mirabelle

Light, airy and very refined, this bedroom is on the first floor in the heart of the chateau.
It has a Louis XV style double bed with a flavour of the Provençal, and the choice of fabrics here gives an overall impression of French elegance.

The eighteenth century fireplace is of sienna coloured marble, and the old parquet floor has wide boards.

There is a toilet and a bath.

You have a lovely view of the sunset from this intimate room.

Camera della Trinità

Situated on the ground floor of the west tower of the chateau, this room has independent access from the park and so is perfectly accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

It has a Louis Philippe era single bed decorated with an unusual mixture of pictures relating to Chinese tea ceremonies at one end, and to the Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity at the other.

This feature is the inspiration for the name of the room.

The eighteenth century fireplace is made of grey marble, and there is an old fashioned waxed parquet floor. From its windows you can look out over the gardens and watch the sun going down.

This is a room where you can savour `the bliss of solitude` and the peace of this serene environment.
